Transforming a Family Home with Thoughtful Renovation
Not every project involves new construction. In another recent project, we renovated a family home originally built in the 1970s. Rather than starting from scratch, we preserved the main floor level in one section while completely reimagining the rest of the structure.
To expand the home, we excavated deep into the existing rock and created new attachments to the foundation. Then we installed beautiful walnut floors, finished in place with a clear satin coating. These updates brought warmth and modern character to a house filled with decades of memories.
